April ‘26 General Meeting Minutes

In attendance: Jordan Farhat, Ahmed Farhat, Haley MacLean, Elisa Litwora, Jill Phillips, Deborah Kolb, Kaitlin Bartel, Megan Burns, Allie Busby, Lindsay Barden, Jackie Fisher, Lori Lester, Suzanne Cordes, Candi Marshall, John Allen, Annie Wolfington, Cidney Greenway, Kris Wilson, Dayle Henderson. 

  1. Officer’s Reports:  
    1. President – Jordan Farhat: Nothing to report 
    2. Vice President – Haley MacLean: Nothing to report 
    3. Secretary – Jill Phillips: March General Meeting minutes approval request; 1st approval Ahmed, 2nd Elisa. 
    4. Treasurer – Liz McDaniel:  
      1. Total Monies: $32,912.19
      2. Expenditures: Class accounts, conference meals, carnival reimbursements, 3D Printer, 3D Printer cart with materials 
      3. Deposits: Fill the calendar corporate match, store rewards, Dine Out with Dilley 
    5. Communications Coordinator – Ahmed Farhat: Will schedule an hour for teachers interested in the 3D printer to learn how to use it. 
    6. Website Coordinator – Deb Kolb: Nothing to report
    7. Grant/Fundraising Coordinator- Elisa Litwora: Book vending machine “book” with information will be left in the staff room.
    8. Principal – John Allen: Nothing to report. Questions about the funding for the school auction. We have not received a donation from WINCO yet but for the charcuterie board, he will receive $250. 
  1. Current Events
    1. March Dine Out Recap (Elisa): $400 total from Phil’s , he donated $140 of his own funds with a total of $400. He is ready for next week and during conference week. 
    2. Conference Meal Update (Liz and Deb): Ingelina’s purchased and delivered as well as Phil’s Subs.
    3. Kinder Round Up (Deb and Elisa): Thursday, April 9th. PTO will have a station for a photo-op opportunity, Class of 2039. Depending on the temperature, the dolphin will make an appearance. 
  1. Upcoming Events
    1. BottleDrop Drive (Deb): Blue bags have been handed out to the teacher’s boxes. The drive will go from April 15th-26th and receive a 20% match for all donations during this time frame. 
    2. Auction (Entire Board): Adult only, Kentucky Derby Theme with various baskets, wine wall, family fun packages, class projects, some live auctions in person. The goal is to get as many people involved that night and win it that night if possible. If there is anything left over, offer whatever was not sold as a buy at a certain amount event through Gala Bid. 
    3. Staff Appreciation Week (Jordan/Haley/Elisa): May 4th-8th and the theme is Farmer’s Market. 
    4. May Dine Out with Dilley (Elisa): McMenamins from 5-Close on May 19th. There will be cards with Dine Out with Dilley throughout the venue. Ironworks Grill inside McMenamins will be the exact location. PTO will have a meeting on May 6th. They will check if dine out options are available. Dilley will receive 20% of the purchases. 
    5. Teacher’s Coffee for the Pick a Date fundraiser, Date of Wednesday, April 15th, Ahmed will arrive at 9 AM. 
    6. 2026-27 Executive Board Elections (Jordan):
      1. Nomination dates are April 29th-May 11th. Megan Burns and Mrs. Wood will be handling the votes. 
      2. Election is May 14-28th
      3. Kinder Roundup will have election forms including all the roles and what each role entails. 
      4. Announcement of a new board on June 2 which is the last board meeting of the year.

    1. Glow Run Prize Vote
      1. Indoor Recess Make Over – there were no shelves at the warehouse. The previous shelves had disappeared so new shelving, games and containers. 
      2. Outdoor Picnic table for recess area 

*Winner: Indoor Recess Make Over. 16 votes YES 1 vote NO

  1. All day Field Day and a lot of volunteers will be needed. It is the last Thursday of the year, June 10th. It will include new games, events, and multi-grade event.
