There are many ways to get involved in the Dilley community. We are always looking for volunteers. Whether you are interested in joining the board, planning an event or fundraiser or helping out in any way (big or small), there is something for everyone!

Available evenings or weekends only? There are many opportunities to help at any hour of the day!

  • Contact your teacher to see if you can help with prep work: cutting, sorting, stapling, etc.
  • Help with an event – most event meetings occur in the evenings, and many tasks can be completed on your time outside of working hours.
  • Attend PTO meetings to learn about what’s happening at the school and find out where help is needed most.
  • Join a Volunteer Team! Check out the teams below and get involved.

PTO Volunteer Team Descriptions

Help us plan art night by creating activity stations, managing the food or reaching out to local businesses for donations. Art Night will take place on March 8.

Help plan the biggest event of the year! Use your skills to create fun attractions, engage the community and volunteer at the event. The Carnival will take place on Friday, October 27.

Help decorate bulletin boards, update the marquee sign outside the school and print and distribute flyers as needed.

With guidance from the Fundraising Coordinator, help secure donations from local businesses throughout the year.

Have a “green thumb”? Join this group to help maintain the school gardens. This is a great after-school hours volunteer opportunity.

Be the link between the PTO and teachers by ensuring teachers are up to date on upcoming events and relaying classroom needs to the PTO. This is an excellent role for someone who is planning to volunteer in the classroom.

With guidance from the Staff Appreciation Chair, help coordinate staff appreciation events including setup and tear down, conference meals coordination and other fun ways to recognize our amazing Dilley staff. Work with the Fundraising Coordinator to secure donations needed for staff appreciation events.
