February ‘26 General Meeting Minutes

Call to order at 3:32

Attendees:  Ahmed Farhat, Joel Redwine, Kathleen Redwine, Megan Burns, Haley MacLean, Jordan Farhat, Elisa Litwora, Deb Kolb, Liz McDaniel, Kellie Nodland, MJ Tionquiao, Jackie Fisher, Lindsay Barden, Kris Wilson, Lori Lester, Candi Marshall, Cidney Greenway.

1. Officer’s Reports:  
   1. President – Jordan Farhat- nothing to report.
   2. Vice President – Haley MacLean- nothing to report.
   3. Secretary – Jill Phillips- approval of January meeting minutes:  1st Haley, 2nd Ahmed.
   4. Treasurer – Liz McDaniel
      1. Total Funds: $32,260.87
      2. Major Expenses: Field Trips requests 5 came through last month, Class Accounts
      3. Major Income: Fill the Date, Corporate Donations.
   5. Communications Coordinator – Ahmed Farhat nothing to report.
   6. Website Coordinator – Deb Kolb nothing to report.
   7. Grant/Fundraising Coordinator- Elisa Litwora (Book Vending Machine)  a.      Would like to get a Book Vending Machine. Have looked into a specific organization and would like the teachers to look into seeing if this is something they would like to use at Dilley.  For example, each teacher would get 30 tokens a year and would use as needed throughout the year.  We are looking into getting this via a grant or donated through a program.They would set it up for us, would be a token system, no cash.  Total price would be around $8,000, with funding and grants it would come out to around $1,000.  Comes stocked with books.

1. Current Events
   1. Fill the Calendar Recap (Liz and Ahmed): We raised $3,529 corporate match after deadline and another pending.  This year started off a bit slow, some parents had some issues getting the payment be kicked back and then the payment was cancelled.  Google and Apple pay went through so may have had other missed payments we were unaware of.  They changed their payment service that was linked to our stripe account.  This year it flagged more fraudulent charges.  We have notes for next year on how to prevent this for next year. Mrs. Wolfington’s Class won for highest fundraising.  Teachers will have a coffee bar.
   2. January Dine Out with Dilley at Chipotle (Elisa):  raised $250, we have a possibility of them matching d/t us uploading a photo we have been entered into a drawing.
   3. February Book Fair (Jordan and Jill):  2 days in, we’re at $1,300 in sales and average $5,000 usually net about 50% if utilize Scholastic dollars or ¼ in dollars.

1. Upcoming Events
   1. Sweetheart BINGO Night (Haley, Elisa & Jordan):  This Friday will host in the GYM.  Bingo prizes will include money towards the book fair and valentine’s themed gifts.  Spirit wear sales.
   2. Conference Meals (Liz and Deb):  We’re going Phil’s Subs and the Ingallina’s boxed lunch.  Will send out emails in advance.
   3. March Dine Out with Dilley (Elisa):  March 18th confirming the timeframe of the dineout.
   4. Auction (Entire Board): April 24th our auction will be adults only at the Elks Lodge from 6:30-8:30 Kentucky Derby themed.  There will be numerous auction item baskets to bid on, currently sitting at $6,500, also a wine pull, wine tasting bundles, golf packages, a blackstone, a bike stroller.  Still working on food details.  Each class will have an auctioned off project.

1. New Business
   1. $1,000 shelving that were supposed to be come here were given elsewhere that were delegated to Dilley.  A one time inflatable option is deemed high risk from an insurance risk could the district at risk if we were to utilize it for field day.  Still looking at an outdoor table for recess or shelving and supplies for the library for rainy days.
